What we handle
- Automatic transmission service and repair
- Manual transmission repair
- Transmission fluid service
- Clutch repair and replacement
- CV axle replacement and repair
- Differential fluid and repair
- Transfer case service
- 4WD and AWD diagnosis
Warning signs to watch for
- The transmission slips, or the engine revs without the vehicle speeding up.
- Shifts feel harsh, delayed, or you feel a clunk going into gear.
- Red or brown fluid is dripping under the middle of the vehicle.
- A clicking noise is heard when you turn sharply, often from a worn CV axle.
- The clutch pedal feels spongy, sticks, or the clutch grabs high.
- A humming or whining sound changes with vehicle speed.
How we work
We begin with a road test and a check of the fluid level, color and smell. We scan for stored codes and inspect the mounts, axles and seals underneath. A digital inspection with photos shows you exactly what we found, including any leaks or worn rubber boots.
You get a written quote that separates a fluid service from a repair, when both are options. Nothing is done without your approval. We road-test the vehicle again after the work to confirm the problem is gone and that shifting feels smooth and normal.
Fluid, clutches and axles explained
Transmission fluid cools and lubricates the gears. It darkens and wears out, and old fluid is a common reason transmissions fail early.
- Fluid service: replaces worn fluid and filter on the schedule your vehicle needs.
- Clutch: a wear item on manual vehicles that slowly loses grip.
- CV axles: carry power to the wheels and click when the joint or boot fails.
- Differentials and transfer cases: have their own fluid, which is often forgotten at service time and wears out like any other.
Good to know
Fluid service is much cheaper than a rebuild, but it is not a cure for a transmission already slipping badly. If you notice symptoms, come in early. Small problems found sooner usually cost far less to fix.
