Engine service

Find the cause, then fix it

A warning light tells you something is wrong, but not what. We test first, explain the result in plain words, and give you a firm written quote before any repair starts.

What we handle

  • Check engine light diagnosis
  • Computer scan and live data testing
  • Misfire and rough idle repair
  • Timing belt and chain service
  • Fuel pump and fuel system repair
  • Sensor and ignition repair
  • Gasket and oil leak repair
  • General engine repair

Warning signs to watch for

  • The check engine light is on or flashing while you drive.
  • The engine hesitates, stumbles, or idles roughly at a stop.
  • Your fuel economy has dropped without any change in driving.
  • The engine is hard to start or stalls unexpectedly.
  • You hear ticking, knocking, or whining that is new.
  • You smell fuel or see smoke from the exhaust.

How we work

We connect a scan tool, read the stored codes, and then test the system behind them. A code points us to an area of the engine. It does not name a part, so we always confirm the fault with further testing before we recommend anything to you.

You receive a digital inspection with photos and a written quote. Nothing is done without your approval, and you are free to take the results elsewhere if you prefer. If you approve the repair with us, the $89 diagnostic check is credited toward the final bill.

Why a code is only a starting point

A code such as a misfire can come from a spark plug, a coil, an injector, a vacuum leak, or something deeper. Replacing parts by guesswork wastes money.

We test in a set order:

  1. Read and record the codes.
  2. Check live data while the engine runs.
  3. Inspect wiring, hoses, and connectors.
  4. Test the suspect part directly.

A flashing light means an active misfire that can damage the catalytic converter. Please stop driving soon and call us.

Good to know

Timing belts have a replacement interval set by the manufacturer, often in the range of 60,000–100,000 miles. A belt that fails can wreck an engine, so replacing it on schedule costs far less than repairing the damage.
